Clancy is a painter
who is slowly falling into the world of insanity. His girlfriend, Kate,
witnesses his collapse and may be the only thing in his life that can save
him -- or maybe not.
On my christmas break
of 1999, I trekked up to independence to shoot this project about a painter
who goes insane. Luckily, we were able to quickly compile some actors and
shoot it, even though conditions were quite rushed. (this on-the-fly moviemaking
always is) Three years later, after several different edited versions, it
was finally put to rest, thank god! The project has it's good points (acting)
and bad (ending) but I think it stands up well as a good experience for
me to sharpen my moviemaking skills. I was happy to tie up the loose end
complete it, as it seemed to be in limbo for a few years. Then again, the
final re-edit makes me not want to look at it ever again! (well....maybe
in twenty years or so)
