Matt's Thoughts:

Ahhh Daisy. What to say? Actually there's alot to blab about the making of, in case you were wondering. The primary idea was simple - the survival of two people, one a pregnant woman. They've got no money, not much food, and both aren't very educated. Now what? When we were casting the film, the story originally was about a man and a woman. So we had alot of male actors come in to read for the part, none of which really had what I was looking for. Malcolm (producer) had suggested maybe altering the story to make it about two women. I told him he was crazy. Then the idea started to grow in my mind after the second audition for the male lead opposite role, which I wasn't happy with at all. So I ended up altering the script to make it about two women and proceeded to bring in female actresses to read for the part. Voila! The film was now a lesbian surival story.

Filming in Prescott, AZ was hot, as it took place primarily in July. I've never been sunburned on my legs so bad to where I was pulling off dead skin in sheets. But it went well despite the heat draining the life out of everyone. We were also afraid of a monsoon rain wrecking havok on the filming, but the only rain I can recall was a downpour in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep. I arose to hear rain pouring for a brief period of like fifteen minutes, then I went back to sleep. The location was interesting as well - being that half of the trek out to it was an off-roading adventure through mountains and mostly dirt roads. I'm sure the cast/crew was thinking upon arrival that we should be shooting the next "Texas Chainsaw" installment.

But alas finishing shooting on that gloriously hot Sunday afternoon, I could only think about the long drive back to Phoenix. Groan. Another one in the can.
